My Mission:

to remain within my food budget
to plan my meals and put as few items on my grocery list as possible
to observe the feasting and fasting (practically, vegan) seasons prescribed by the Orthodox Christian Church
to feed myself and my family food made from real ingredients, not chemicals
to simplify the items in my pantry and make food from scratch when possible
to make whole grains the norm in our diet
to buy organic where appropriate and to determine when this is, in an educated way
to avoid transfats
to minimize food waste
to feed my children good food and not just "kid food"
to save time in the kitchen
and to know when to forget it all and just order take-out or buy a frozen pizza!
